Over 12 years experience as a practicing pharmacist in various health care settings including inpatient, outpatient, home health and hospice settings.
Over 3 years as an intellectual property attorney for pharmaceutical and biotech companies of all sizes including:
- Filing and prosecution of both pharmaceutical and biotechnology patents
- Investigated and determined inventorship of invention
- Written and consulted on informed consent issues for clinical trials
- Advised on the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
- Advised on the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA)
- Advised on Hatch-Waxman issues
- Provided drug information on approved and off-label uses for drugs
- Advised patients, healthcare providers and attorneys on side effects, toxicities and drug interactions of medications
